In the 9th Scope of Work, select hospitals in Pennsylvania will focus their quality improvement efforts in several key areas, in a collaborative effort to improve the level of patient safety delivered to Pennsylvanians with Medicare.
Improvements in patient safety will be evidenced in:
- The reduction in the incidence of MRSA infections in hospitals
- The reduction in the incidence of pressure ulcers in hospitals
- The improvement in inpatient surgical safety and heart failure treatment in hospitals
