The Right Care for Every Patient, Every Time
Imagine a health care system where patients receive the right care every time, and where providers have the tools and resources to deliver that care. At Quality Insights of Pennsylvania, we spend every day working to make that health care system a reality.
Quality Insights of Pennsylvania is the Commonwealth’s Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO). | Note: Quality Insights of Pennsylvania currently holds a contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to develop and evaluate quality measures for the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI). At this time, Quality Insights is testing measures that are currently in the PQRI program to assess the feasibility of each of these measures. A random sample of providers have received a letter dated March 19, 2010, requesting supporting documentation for the PQRI quality codes submitted on claims for specific dates of service. This request is not an audit, and there is no financial penalty associated with submission. Providers may contact the CMS Helpdesk at 1.866.288.8912 to authenticate the records request. Quality Insights will reimburse providers for record retrieval and copying upon invoice submission. |
